One of the newest ministries at Castle Rock UMC is already making a difference!

Thanks to a $5,000 grant written by Terry Forsyth and awarded by the Pacific Northwest Conference, the church purchased sewing machines and launched sewing classes for teen girls. Our first class led by Barabara Rutherford and Terry featured a practical and fun project—making aprons!

This ministry grows naturally out of our thriving 4-H program, where young people learn cooking, woodworking, animal care, and other life skills. Looking ahead, we hope these sewing classes will become a way to serve our community by making underwear for elementary students in need and other useful items for local families, including homeless high school students.

Every stitch is a reminder that faith is lived through caring for our neighbors and equipping the next generation with skills, confidence, and compassion. 🧵❤️
